Projects against racism and discrimination – WirWollen in action

Our projects

Our projects combat racism and discrimination. They create spaces for people to meet, learn from each other, and develop mutual understanding. Through this work, we strengthen social cohesion and give people who have experienced discrimination in particular the opportunity to develop and make their voices heard. Ultimately, the aim is not only to make diversity visible, but also to enable it to be lived and respected.

We then use the results to develop a diverse stage program—a show for everyone that combines poetry, music, and video formats on screen.

Why projects against racism and discrimination are effective

Active and practical measures against discrimination

Each of our projects focuses on concrete action, not just theoretical knowledge transfer. Young people and adults are actively involved and learn how to recognize and counter discrimination. This creates a lasting understanding of how racism and other forms of exclusion work in everyday life and how they can be actively combated.

Making diversity visible

We empower people who are affected by discrimination, such as racism, sexism, classism, etc., and give them a voice. Through creative formats, workshops and collaborative activities, we promote mutual respect and show how diversity can be experienced as an enrichment. Every participation makes it clear that every person counts and that the community becomes stronger together.

Promoting democracy

Our educational work supports democracy and social engagement by empowering young people to take responsibility. Our projects promote anti-discriminatory thinking and motivate people to live democratic values in their everyday lives. This creates an active stance against exclusion and injustice.
